2012-2013 Student Salute Program

The Allegany County Student Salute Program is a collaborative effort to recognize high school students who excel in the classroom. Those students identified as exceptional academic achievers and who intend to enroll in Frostburg State University earn the opportunity to qualify for a one-year full scholarship or a $500 scholarship. WCBC radio station airs a Student Salute each weekday and students' accomplishments will be recognized on the air sometime between October and April. The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee will screen all applicants and select three scholarship recipients who will earn Frostburg State University scholarships and be recognized publicly at a meeting of the Board of Education.
