Lauren Winterberg

Lauren is currently enrolled in a number of AP and Honors courses including AP literature and psychology as well as Honors journalism and Spanish IV. She is the captain of the varsity soccer team, the co-president of the Green Club, and a member of the National Honor Society and the Drama and Spanish Clubs at Allegany. Lauren also dances at Dixon’s Dance Studio. She volunteers her time with the St. Ambrose and St. Peter and Paul’s youth groups. Lauren plans to major in communications and minor in Spanish in college, and she hopes to pursue a career in the communications field.

Steven received a scholarship to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, was the Camper of the Year at church camp, and received a Minds in Motion award and the Men’s Demonstration Choir and Sportsmanship award for the Frank Shircliff Memorial League. He plans to attend Frostburg State University and major in biochemistry. Steven hopes to pursue a career as a research professor.

Troy plans to attend Frostburg State University to major in chemistry and accounting and minor in Spanish. He hopes to pursue a career as a chemist, an accountant or a teacher one day.

She is the president of the CAH Club, a member of the Tri-State Youth Orchestra, a summer intern and Hispanic outreach liaison in Frederick County, a soloist at her community church, a member of the National Honor Society, and the ECO leader at Mountain Ridge. Allison started a non-profit organization that visits rehab facilities, nursing homes, and shut-ins, and she also assisted ARC in writing their 2011 financial manual. She also volunteers her time at the Special Olympics, ARC, the LaVale Watershed Association, and Parents Place. Allison plans to attend Frostburg State University and hopes to pursue a career as a pharmacist and an author.

She plans to attend Frostburg State University and major in economics with a minor in Spanish. Morgan hope to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer and politician.

Jacob volunteers his time as a church usher and on mission projects, serves breakfast at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore, sings Christmas carols at local nursing homes, is a member of the Fellowship Meals Committee, and packs food baskets for the needy during the holidays. He has won a Minds in Motion award, is a member of Who’s Who Among High School Students, and was a quarter finalist in the Maryland State tennis tournament. Rebecca is a Carson Scholarship winner, a member of the 2011 All-City softball team, and she places among the top 25 in the nation at the 2010 National History Day competition. She plans to major in speech pathology and Spanish in college and hopes to pursue a career as a bilingual speech pathologist one day.
