ACPS High School Students, Parents Invited to attend to help Prepare for College
Frostburg State University in cooperation with the Maryland Higher Education Commission will offer two workshops for high school students and their families that focus on college admissions and financial aid in an effort to help them prepare for college. The workshops will be presented in conjunction with the College Preparation Intervention Program.
Students and parents will have the opportunity to attend the workshop on one of the two following dates: November 1, 2012, at Mountain Ridge High School in the cafeteria; or November 7, 2012, at Fort Hill High School in the cafeteria. Both sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Topics to be discussed at the workshops include meeting important deadlines, timelines for college searches, the financial aid process and FAFSA. For more information, contact Dr. Cindy Herzog, Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at FSU, at 301-687-4142.
