FH Students Place in Art Contest

Kaitlyn Gornall, Jacob Harper take 1st and 3rd Place Respectively out of 438 Submissions
Two Fort Hill High School students are the winners of last year’s Quest Education Systems and Stop, Walk, Talk “What a Bully Looks Like” art contest. Kaitlyn Gornall and Jacob Harper won first and third places respectively in the grades 9-12 category. The contest was conducted in an effort to raise awareness about bullying and the impact it has on children throughout the country.
Contest winners were selected from 438 submissions from across the United States in three categories – grades k-5; grades 6-8; and grades 9-12. The winning submissions were chosen based on the most engaging work of art.
Kaitlyn’s submission was entitled “The Emotional Effects of Bullying”, was a first place winner in the contest. She earned a $50 gift certificate for her work. In addition, Fort Hill will receive a one-year subscription to Stop, Walk, Talk’s National Bully Reporting System as well as a $1,000 gift certificate from Quest Education Systems to be used for staff and faculty training.
