Parent Conferences Scheduled for Sept. 27th

Parents Encouraged to Meet Teachers; Check on Children’s Progress

Allegany County Public Schools will hold the first parent conferences of the school year on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and review with them his or her academic and behavioral progress.

Elementary conferences will be held from 8-11 a.m. and from 12-3:30 p.m. Lunch for elementary teachers will is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Secondary conferences will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and from 2-5:30 p.m. Lunch for secondary teachers is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Teachers at all levels will not be available for conferences during their lunch hour.

Elementary schools will follow the same school-based procedure for scheduling conferences as in the past. Information will be sent home with students. Parents of middle and high school students may request a conference appointment by sending a not to the teachers with whom they would like to meet; however, walk-ins are welcome throughout the day.
