Programs Funded by 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant
Once again, Braddock and Washington Middle Schools will offer after school programming for students during the 2012-2013 school year. Provided by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant, these after school programs provide academic opportunities along with enrichment activities designed to support students’ learning and development.
Services include, but are not limited to, tutoring and mentoring, homework/study assistance, academic enrichment, community service opportunities and cultural activities. The after school programs at Braddock and Washington will also include monthly field trips and a variety of clubs for all interests.
The after school programs will begin on Monday, September 10, 2012, and will be open to students in grades 6-8 at Braddock and Washington. The programs will be available on school days, Monday through Thursday, from 3-5:30 p.m. Sessions will also include hot meals courtesy of HRDC, and transportation will be provided.
