ACPS Selects SchoolFunds Online

First Maryland Installation for Leading K-12 School Accounting Solution

July 18, 2012 - TRA, Inc. is pleased to announce that Allegany County Public Schools (ACPS)
has recently contracted with TRA, Inc. for the use of its SchoolFunds Online activity fund accounting solution in all 22 of its K-12 schools.

SchoolFunds Online (SFO), a web-delivered software application, is designed to automate the tracking of any funds collected and disbursed at the school building level. Prized for its user-friendliness and robust functionality, SFO is a comprehensive accounting system engineered to meet the needs of the dynamic school financial environment.

The recent addition of ACPS marks TRA's official debut in the state of Maryland. When asked about this milestone, TRA President Tom Rickman said: "We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to provide SchoolFunds Online to ACPS, and to have expanded our community of users to the great state of Maryland. Given the enthusiastic reaction of ACPS administration and staff, TRA looks forward to a seamless and highly successful summer implementation."

TRA's sales manager, Sarah Huettl, added "Maryland seems like a great fit for TRA, and we look forward to sharing our story with other districts in the Old Line State." According to Amy Williams, Senior Accountant for ACPS, one of the greatest benefits to using SchoolFunds Online is the availability of "consolidated reporting of all schools' activity funds, especially 1099 reporting."

Built on Microsoft's cutting-edge ASP.NET platform coupled with a centralized SQL Server database engine, SchoolFunds Online offers administrators real-time access to school data, as well as a powerful suite of centralized tools for consolidated reporting, audit functions, and monitoring of school accounting activities. In discussing their upcoming training, Williams said that her financial secretaries "are looking forward to streamlining [their] school bookkeeping with SchoolFunds Online." After an extensive review of the SFO software, Williams emphasized that they "were excited about the product and thought it was very user-friendly."

TRA, Inc. is a national provider of school activity fund software, with software solutions serving 236 districts across 15 states. SchoolFunds Online, TRA's flagship product, has now
been deployed in over 3,700 schools nationally. To learn more about SchoolFunds Online or other TRA products, please visit TRA's website at www.trasoft.net or send inquiries to info@trasoft.net.
