About the PTA – The Frost PTA is an organization of parents, teachers, family, and friends of Frost Elementary students.  Working together we plan programs, activities, fundraisers, and volunteer support in order to better the lives of the children in our community.

Current PTA News and Information:

Spring PTA Activities - Keep an eye out for a number of PTA activities coming up as we approach the end of the school year! In April, the PTA will be sponsoring an Art Show as part of its April PTA Meeting. All students and parents will be invited to see what Mr. Knotts and our talented students have been working on this year! PTA will also sponsor our annual Talent Show where students are invited to come and share any type of talent they wish! In May, we will host the AEP Showcase & Science Fair as part of our May PTA Meeting.

PTA Tupperware Sale - The Frost Elementary PTA will be conducting its final fundraiser of the school year with a Tupperware Sale running from April 17, 2013 to May 1, 2013. One of our own Frost mothers, Kelli Deist, is a Tupperware Consultant and has presented us with this new fundraising opportunity. Kelli will have the Tupperware products on display at the April PTA Meeting on April 17, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Catalogs and order forms will be distributed on April 17, 2013 and on-line ordering will be available as well.

PTA Resources - The National PTA has also provided the Frost PTA with the following information:

Many parents may feel at a loss about how to approach the subject of school violence with their children. For information on helping your child cope, discussing issues of violence and hate, and keeping your school safe, please visit our website at PTA.org/schoolviolence.

Fundraising Update - The Frost Elementary PTA started off the school year with a terrific fall fundraising season. The following are the total profits made on each fundraiser:

BOOK FAIR $ 820.00
MIXED BAG DESIGNS $2,622.00
COMMUNITY DAY $ 250.00
CHRISTMAS WREATHS $ 773.00
TOTAL $4,465.00

Thank you to everyone for supporting the Frost PTA by participating in these fundraisers! The Frost PTA would also like to thank the Frostburg Freeze, Fat Boys Pizza Shack and Eastern Express for participating with us this fall in the PTA Spirit Nights. We also recognize Creekstone Garden Center for working with us again this year on the Christmas Wreath fundraiser and the landscaping project in front of the school!

Box Tops for Education - The Frost PTA would like to thank all students and parents for submitting Box Tops for our fall submission. The Frost PTA will earn $574.00! We would also like to thank Mrs. Blank and her fifth grade helpers for preparing the Box Tops for submission. Those tiny Box Tops really do add up and make a difference. Keep clipping and saving those Box Tops for our winter submission!

Wednesday Work Group - Everyone is invited to come and help at the Wednesday work group. There has been an amazing turnout of helpers and all of the work is appreciated by the teachers.

• Collect Box Tops - Since 2002, Frost Elementary has earned almost $6,000 through the Box Tops 4 Education Program just from parents buying certain products and collecting the box tops coupons. Keep collecting and sending in your Box Tops each month. Please do not forget to send in Box Tops by Friday, October 23rd. More collection sheets are available in the office.
